Inspired by the dramatic beauty of the Sichuan mountains, the Specialty Restaurant is a striking architectural statement—composed of two distinct building volumes thoughtfully connected by a multi-level wooden walkway. The first volume welcomes guests with a warm reception area and supports additional resort activities, while the second volume houses the main dining hall, strategically located on the second floor to offer expansive views of the surrounding landscapes and mountain backdrop.
The elevated walkway not only connects the two structures but also becomes a memorable experiential journey. As guests stroll between buildings, they’re immersed in panoramic views of the natural scenery, from rolling fields and distant peaks to local wildlife and birds in their natural habitat. The connection to nature is further enhanced by a series of ground-level terraces, where guests can enjoy seasonal, open-air dining in a peaceful, immersive setting.
The restaurant offers a rich variety of experiences to enhance every visit. Guests arrive through an engaging reception area, where they are guided toward the main dining hall upstairs. The second-floor space offers a heightened ambiance, with floor-to-ceiling views that frame the landscape like a living artwork. For those seeking a more relaxed or social setting, the outdoor terrace features a BBQ area, perfect for savoring grilled delicacies under the open sky.
Families are thoughtfully accommodated with an outdoor children’s playground, allowing younger guests to play freely while adults enjoy their meal. A feature water element, complete with a wooden waterwheel tied into the island’s canal system, adds a soothing, sensory layer to the environment, blending sound, movement, and natural materials in a way that reflects the region’s traditional ingenuity.
To further connect guests with the environment, second-level observation platforms are integrated into the architecture, offering opportunities to pause, reflect, and take in the natural beauty and wildlife of the surrounding landscape.
The Specialty Restaurant is more than a place to dine; it is a destination that brings together architecture, landscape, and culinary artistry to create a multi-sensory, unforgettable experience rooted in place and tradition.
