The Spa is envisioned as a silent retreat, a sanctuary of peace, privacy, and renewal. Carefully designed to immerse guests in a calming sensory experience, the architecture centers around an open inner courtyard that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor space. This tranquil heart of the spa invites guests to connect with the surrounding landscape, natural light, seasonal changes, and flowing water, all of which enhance the sense of calm and reflection.

The architectural language is subtle yet powerful. An inward-sloping roof allows natural light to gently flood the perimeter treatment rooms, creating warm and inviting spaces for healing. At the same time, the roof is designed to collect rainwater and channel it into the central courtyard, integrating it into the island’s existing canal system. This approach not only supports sustainable water management but also enhances the serene atmosphere through the presence of water as both a visual and auditory element.

The perimeter veranda draws inspiration from traditional Sichuan homes, known for their protective overhangs and quiet spaces for contemplation. This reference is reimagined in a modern context, providing a peaceful threshold between the natural world and the private interior spaces of the spa. The result is a harmonious fusion of traditional sensibilities and contemporary spa luxury.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed in a Reception area that sets a warm, calming tone for their experience. Behind the scenes, a discreet Back of House (BOH) area ensures efficient operations, allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted relaxation. The treatment rooms, arranged along the perimeter, are designed for ultimate comfort and privacy, offering a curated menu of personalized therapies delivered by skilled practitioners.

Adjacent to these rooms, a dedicated yoga space provides a serene environment for mindful movement and meditation, encouraging physical balance and mental clarity. Nearby, a hot tub set within a peaceful garden nook offers a therapeutic escape, where guests can unwind in warm water surrounded by soft natural textures and calming sounds. Completing the experience is the outdoor lounge area, an open-air space furnished for comfort and framed by lush greenery ideal for quiet reflection or casual conversation beneath the sky.

All of these elements are gracefully organized around the central Inner Rice Ground, a poetic landscape feature that reflects the spa’s deeper philosophy: a return to simplicity, connection, and the healing rhythm of the earth.
